New thematic ETF from HSBC on Xetra: access to the Indian technology sector

 

Since Wednesday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by HSBC Asset Management has been tradable on Xetra and via the trading venue Börse Frankfurt.

The HSBC S&P India Tech UCITS ETF EUR tracks the performance of the S&P India Tech Index in the Euro share class. Investors gain access to leading companies operating in technology-related businesses in the Indian market and in the communications, digital technology and software segments based on their RBICS classification.

RBICS classification stands for FactSet’s Revere Business Industry Classifications System (RBICs), which maps the technology sector using a revenue-based approach. Eligible companies must generate more than 80 per cent of their turnover in the specified business sectors. The top ten companies include Infosys, followed by HCL Technologies, Bharti Airtel, and Tata Consultancy Services.
